Crackdown on the uninsured

Over 15 vehicles were seized last weekend by West Midlands Police in a clampdown on uninsured motorists. Unbelievably this included a mother teaching her teenage son to drive in a car with no insurance or ‘L’ plates. The vehicle was seized and a court summons was issued.

Officers from West Midlands Polices traffic unit also impounded vehicles from uninsured drivers in Solihull, Sparkhill, Wolverhampton and Edgbaston. All of whom had to make alternative travel plans after being found flouting road regulations.

Inspector Greg Jennings said “we want to send a clear message out to uninsured drivers that this behaviour will not be tolerated and we will continue to target uninsured drivers to make our roads safer.”

Here at Emergency Compare we believe there are those who may have missed payment or made a mistake with driving uninsured and their cars been impounded. We can help those in this situation to take their car out of impound and continue with their life.
